Birthday fun and A great Christmas!

Just wanted to pop in and say I hope everyone has a very merry Christmas this year!

I was just going through some of the Christmas photos and will post a little 'Wilson Christmas Slideshow' in the next few days.

As for today, It's my birthday!!!!!! Woohoo!

I would like to thank everyone who called/texted/emailed me today. I was overloaded with facebook messages and text lovin. You are all wonderful and made a girl feel very loved on this warm December Tuesday. Also, thank you to my wonderful friend Resa who met up with me at the Sherman Oaks Galleria to grab lunch at the Cheesecake Factory, I use the term grab loosely because we were there for over 2 hours chatting! Gotta love great friends! She also had them sing Happy Birthday, on accident :)

Of course I want to thank my amazing Mother for birthing me on this day back in 1985. I am glad you made it through the Christmas pageant and had me a few days later. I couldn't ask for a smarter, more beautiful, and patient mother. You really are the best! Thanks for going through all that pain. Hope it was worth it! Also to my father who I wouldn't be here without either. Thanks pops! I love you both an unbelievably large amount ;)

Last, but certainly not least. A big thanks to my wonderful boyfriend who I will be seeing later this evening for a delicious sushi dinner in Thousand Oaks. Glad I was born and met you about 19 years later. I love you and am so blessed to have shared the last 3 birthdays with you.

I have been thinking a lot about what this next year will bring. Not only do I have the next year of my life but also a whole new year. Double the resolutions! I am working on my list for both personal and business related resolutions and will post a few as soon as I finalize my goals.

Thanks again to everyone for the birthday wishes!

Daily Life: My "Cheesy"

You may remember my super adorable niece Charlize from some of the baby photos I have posted in the past. Well she is making an appearance again!

The weekend before last I was able to catch a flight to Arizona and spend the weekend babysitting while my brother and sister(in-law) got to have a much deserved vacation in Cancun. I can't say enough how much fun it is to hang out with her! She was insanely good and did very well for it being her first weekend away from mommy and daddy. I am so amazed by how much she had grown since I last saw her. She even knew exactly who I was when I got there (admit it, that's pretty good for a 1 1/2 yr old who hasn't seen you in months)!

Anyways, all that to say I am a very proud Auntie (or Aunt Meme as she calls me).

I was able to grab a few photos in between the running around and playing:

Kwasi & Syeeda: The Slideshow

As promised here is the slide show from Kwasi & Syeeda's beautiful November 29th wedding in Pasadena, California.

Kwasi and Syeeda were such a relaxed and sweet couple and I was so blessed to have the opportunity to photograph their gorgeous wedding.

Thank you to their lovely wedding coordinator: Arsineh Bedrosian and all the staff at The Langham Resort and Spa for making their special day run incredibly smoothly and turn out so beautiful and elegant. Also a big thanks to Burbank based florist Yvonne from Florals by Yvonne for her beautiful arrangements that were stunning to photograph.

Daily Life: Take a hike!

...which is just what I did the other day. Having just finished editing my latest wedding and feeling cramped in my work space I decided to call up my friend Ryan's wife Runy and ask her if she wanted to hang out, walk around, and maybe shoot some photos. She agreed and off we went!

So here are a few of the photos of the gorgeous Runy that came about on a cold windy day while taking hike in Newbury Park.

By the way, look out for a trash the dress session with Ryan and Runy to come sometime in January...we are going to rock that session out!

Syeeda and Kwasi are such a lovely couple and were incredibly relaxed and fun to work with.
Look out for a slideshow to come around mid next week!

Enjoy these photos for now as I run out to catch a plane to Arizona for the weekend!

A little More Maternity and BlogBoards

One thing that I often think about is my web presence and how to best represent myself and my work online through my website, blog, social networking sites etc..

I feel it is important to have a fun and clean feel to my blog. I stumbled across this awesome tool for photographers to quickly put together Blog Boards (storyboards for your blog). It spices things up a little bit on the blog posts. It is also a great example of the different things you can do with your photos after the session (cards, posters, wall layouts).

Here is an example of one I was able to throw together this morning:

Super cute!
