Wedding - Martin and Tivisay

This weekend I had the joy of photographing a wedding for an absolutely wonderful couple. Beautiful Tivi and Martin, her handsome groom, grew up as next door neighbors in Mexico. Through the years they stayed in touch.

Years later they found themselves in California except Tivi was in the south and Martin in the northern part of the state. Amazingly they maintained their relationship and love grew despite the distance.

What started as childhood friends so long ago in another country became a wedding of joy and delight in Ventura, California. The ceremony ending with a loving kiss on the forehead as they said their "I do's" ... or in Tivi's case, her "Of course!".

This wonderful couple was a delight to work with. Tivi has an amazing sense of style and they're black and white themed wedding turned out perfectly.

I wish them life's best in their journey together.

Here are just a few of the many shots from the day:

Wedding Teaser

As some of you Californians might know we had ourselves a few showers the past couple of days. For the wonderful photographers of the area it gave us yet another challenge to overcome.

Thankfully as I drove to Tivisay and Martin's wedding yesterday the clouds hovered over us but did not spare one drop.

Here is a little peak from their gorgeous wedding.

Look out this week for more from their special day!

New Beginnings

A good portion of what I do is documenting new beginnings. Whether it be engagements/marriages, maternity/baby photos, portraits for senior photos, or even photographs for new CD covers. Every time I get hired by clients I am chosen to be a part of an incredible moment in their lives. I think that is what really makes me love my work.

I feel so honored and blessed to be able to use my talents to enhance and capture peoples special moments.

So I just wanted to say thank you all for letting me share the special times with you.

Speaking of new beginnings and special moments, my amazing boyfriend Joe graduated from Law School on Friday! Words cannot express how proud I am of him.

Here is a photograph my mom snapped of us just after the ceremony.

Now get to studying for the Bar! :)

Quick update!

I just wanted to stop by real quickly and say that I am going to be working on the blog a ton tonight.

Hopefully look out for a bunch of new photos and new design!

Anyways, before I can get that all started I need to get to a shoot.

I am shooting with my good friend Joel from Http://www.Mikronized.com , He is an amazing graphic designer (go check out his work!) and needs some photos of himself for some upcoming work and promotion.

"Sun been down for days, a pretty flower in a vase"

What can I say?

Life has been a little hectic lately with wedding shoots and packing/starting to make the move from Santa Clarita to Camarillo. So it's hectic but incredibly fun and exciting at the same time!

The other day I got to spend a little bit of time with my good friend Angel, who I've known for years. She is one of my best friends and I just don't get to see her that often since we are both pretty busy.

Here is a photo I snapped of her:

Isn't she beautiful AND adorable?

Hopefully we'll get to set up an actual shoot sometime soon.

Oh! By the way, the title of the post is from the song "Her Morning Elegance" by Oren Lavie. I first heard the song on the commercial for the new Chevy Malibu and had to look it up ASAP. So if you were wondering what that song was, there it is!
