New Beginnings

A good portion of what I do is documenting new beginnings. Whether it be engagements/marriages, maternity/baby photos, portraits for senior photos, or even photographs for new CD covers. Every time I get hired by clients I am chosen to be a part of an incredible moment in their lives. I think that is what really makes me love my work.

I feel so honored and blessed to be able to use my talents to enhance and capture peoples special moments.

So I just wanted to say thank you all for letting me share the special times with you.

Speaking of new beginnings and special moments, my amazing boyfriend Joe graduated from Law School on Friday! Words cannot express how proud I am of him.

Quick update!

I just wanted to stop by real quickly and say that I am going to be working on the blog a ton tonight.

I am shooting with my good friend Joel from Http://www.Mikronized.com , He is an amazing graphic designer (go check out his work!) and needs some photos of himself for some upcoming work and promotion.

What can I say?

Life has been a little hectic lately with wedding shoots and packing/starting to make the move from Santa Clarita to Camarillo. So it's hectic but incredibly fun and exciting at the same time!

The other day I got to spend a little bit of time with my good friend Angel, who I've known for years. She is one of my best friends and I just don't get to see her that often since we are both pretty busy.

Oh! By the way, the title of the post is from the song "Her Morning Elegance" by Oren Lavie. I first heard the song on the commercial for the new Chevy Malibu and had to look it up ASAP. So if you were wondering what that song was, there it is!

Dar and Nazli

Wow, it sure is starting to get warm outside. I can't wait for Summer to finally be here and with that Summer weddings!

I am about to head out and run some errands but I wanted to quickly blog some recent photos.

This weekend I was able to photograph Dar and Nazli and their beautiful Persian wedding.

I got a call from Dar on Thursday asking if I could shoot their wedding this Saturday. Fortunately I was available to shoot that day so I said "Sure thing!" and I am sure glad I was able to because it was such a great time.

Julie in the Forest

One of the biggest challenges as a photographer is getting people to feel and act comfortable in front of the camera, I like to think that this is one of my strong points. I just love to get to know the people I am working with and really try to capture their personality.

Yesterday I was able to fit in a quick shoot with a lovely lady, Miss Julie. Julie is a dancer at California Institute of the Arts and is what I would call ' a natural' in front of the camera. We got to frolic through the trees and shoot some great photos together.

Moving along

Wow, life has been pretty busy lately. I just booked a wedding for May 25th that I am very excited about, the couple is wonderful and we are going to have a blast. Other than that I have just been shooting and working on this fun business of mine (which I love).

Anyways, I thought I would share a glimpse of another shoot I just did with Niyousha and Eric who are getting married December 27th. The shoot kind of took place last minute so there wasn't much daylight left but it was still loads of fun, they are adorable together.
